What I figured. Taking Mereen was all wrong too. They are still moving it along too slowly I reckon. I can understand cutting certain things out, but why would they add things? Makes very little sense.

Oh, and for those who were talking about Deadwood, and if you enjoy some slaughter, I thought Rome was another excellent series. Kevin whatsisname from Grey's Anatomy was excellent as Lucius Vorinus.

@Otf, trial by combat was a option in many medieval societies.
The idea was that if you were guilty or a liar God would never let you survive same as trial by ordeal.
There is even a surviving book detailing the rules under how these ordeals were conducted including man V woman.

I have a feeling he'll pick Bronn, but Bronn won't do it for whatever reason. Seems perfectly in tune with Game of Thrones in general. I think Tywin will pick The Mountain too. That's The Hound's brother, right? He seems engineered specifically for purposes like these in the plot.

Yeah and the Mountain killed Oberyns sister. So if you are right and Bronn turns down the request, or is missing or whatever then Tyrion could be left with no one, needing to someone to step up, looking at Jaime who does nothing then Oberyn steps forward because he wants to kill the Mountain.

Orrrrrr Arya Stark appears with her little needle because the Mountain is on her list. She sits on Tyrions shoulders and together they nearly make a full person.

Yeah, this makes sense. Bronn is unwilling to do it and Jaime is unable since he lost his hand. Reckon no one would ever want to take on The Mountain except for settling a debt. They built Oberyn up as a great fighter earlier this season; probably for something like this.

... Or maybe Jaime decides to take on The Mountain anyway and gets killed. Who knows with this show.

By the way, has the portrayal of Bronn been faithful to the books so far? It seems to me that shit lands on everyone else in this show except for him. Mosf ot the other characters in the main cast have been beaten, molested, mutilated, hurt, killed or outlawed at this point. Bronn on the other hand just keeps winning. Starts out as a nothing sellsword, defends Tyrion, comes over good money, becomes part of the King's guard, gets knighted after Blackwater, gets even richer... either he's due a knife in the back soon or he's the one who's been stealing all the lucky charms from the others.
