Firstly, there were more than one theory ffs and, secondly, Bronn is being portrayed fairly according to the books. So far.

He's pretty huge alright. It's still a bit odd to see him cast, considering he's 25 and The Hound, who is supposed to be younger, is played by a 45 year old. As well as being the youngest, he's also the shortest of the three actors they've had play The Mountain - the first actor was 7 foot and the second was 7 foot 1.

But I thought that the the mountain only actually appeared in one episode at the joust, and then was always just referred to as this savage brutal murderous character who was mercifully never around.
Unless I missed an episode.....

Best episode of the season by quite a margin this one. Opening and ending scene both great.

Mace Tyrell is shaping up to be a nice secondary charcter.

He was at Harrenhall in season 2 when Arya was there. Hardly said anything though.

Oh, and where do I know the Iron Bank guy from? That kept bothering me.

So far, yes. He's a very shrude guy who knew when he took the risk of standing for Tyrion in the Vale, if he won he could just cash in on a Lannisters gratitude for the rest of his life.

He is/was the mafia guy in Boardwalk Empire. I haven't seen the latest season yet so I don't know if it should be is or was at this point. 🙂

Orrrrrr Arya Stark appears with her little needle because the Mountain is on her list. She sits on Tyrions shoulders and together they nearly make a full person.

I'd be surprised if this doesn't happen. The stage is set for it and it's all too obvious. This is game of thrones though so i'm probably wrong and Tyrion and his champion are probably going to get chopped into pieces...

Reading through the Thread, I find it great how many seem to haven't read the books, and going through their Theories reminds me a bit of myself back then.

However, I think I should skip this Thread completely, because I don't want to unintentionally destroy/spoiler something. 😆

I read most of the books up to the stage the TV series is at over a decade ago, I think. Certainly can barely remember stuff beyond the major deaths and movements in each one (and who's still alive in the most recent).

Tyrion's trial by combat participants spoiler: Can't wait to see the look on Tywin's face (and Mace's) when Jaime volunteers to fight Ser Loras instead of Bronn.... 🙂

My theory for what it's worth:

Jamie will fight for Tyrion, just seems to fit with him being trained up by Bronn. Seems to be the only one who so far hasn't betrayed him either.

I think Aria will be the one to eventually kill The Mountain so I don't think he'll be the one he's up against. Can't think of who else it could be though, guessing it'll be someone he doesn't want to kill. Would've said it's the giant woman he used to hang around with but she's half way around the world. Or maybe it'll be Bronn? Teacher and student battling it out to the death seems right up Martin's street.
