Can't really see him cutting out the "mistakes". I already think he's the best CB in the league, but with such an an aggressive style, and with the amount of (mostly fantastic) tackles he makes in the box, he'll away give away more penalties than your average defender.
Matthias Ginter
Well, that is poor judgement. The penalty against Bayern is a case in point; Kos initially plays Robben brilliantly, and then when he no longer poses a danger is overzealous and gives him the chance to win the penalty.
On redcafe a German fan is saying that Kicker is reporting that a move abroad is not an option for Ginter

I don't think he reads the game as well as someone like Silva IMO but he does read the game well.
I think per reads it better
He does. He seems to know what the attacker is going to do every time even before the attacker makes his move.

Are you saying it was poor judgement by Kos to get so tight to Robben because he should have anticipated that he would dive?
Essentially, yes. Let's not pretend there wasn't contact, because there was. At the time of contact the danger was already avoided, Robben had his back to goal and was on his way out of the box. Why get so tight and trying to win the ball?
I suppose it's fair to say that it was poor judgement. Never in a million years a penalty, but yeah, definitely unnecessary by Kos. Never mind my previous comment, it made no sense, so I'm going to blame that on the all-nighter I pulled last night, haven't slept in way too long. Fudge this, I'm off to bed.
A few German papers linking Dortmund to him, not surprising really as that is a weakness for them. Bild I think saying they are close and Kicker saying they are interested but haven't spoken to his club yet.
Also read a few weeks ago that he isn't too open to the idea of leaving Germany, he wants to remain in Germany. A shame as we do need another CB, preferably a good young prospect as well to take over in the next few years.
We need a beast who will work with Kos, and have Mertesacker as third choice. Mangala is the man for me.
Thought City are pretty close to securing a deal for him and Fernando? If City are involved then we ain't getting him!

I have a gut feeling that we'll steal Varane from Madrid this summer.
That would make me do a really big smile
Think we need a starting centre back this summer, we shouldn't be looking at the likes of Ginter (unless Verms leaves). As much as I like him, Mert shouldn't be starting for us. We need someone better and more mobile.
Mertesacker is fine.
Yeah he's the least of our problems.
varane would be great but it's arsenal we're talking about...
Don't see any reason for RM to let the CB with perhaps most potential in the world go. I also said that they didn't have any reasons to let Özil go, but I wasn't aware of them changing formation to a 4-3-3 where no attacking midfielder is used. No formation exists where there isn't a CB, unfortunately.
Real Madrid do stupid things all the time, so there's hope.
He hasn't played much and he isn't really Ancelotti's kind of defender. If they need to finance a summer target and we offer good money for him odds are they will bite. One can dream at least.
