Ozil, Cazorla, Chamberlain, Walcott as wide men in a 442 is ok, its the two upfront which we need to buy.

He has enough pace to thrive on the wing though, and he often starts moves from there. He is also a big lad who looks to get into the box, and after he passes the ball he actually MOVES.
The one negative about the guy, and please keep in mind I have really only seen him twice, is that his defensive effort is sub-par. Not sure how much of that is down to instruction though, since he is rather good at putting pressure on defenders early. When he is bypassed, then he doesn't do much. Maybe it is down to instruction to conserve energy for attacks, or he is just not very hard working. That part wouldn't fly in the PL for sure, especially if playing on the wing.

We're not going to play ozil wide, he'll always be behind the striker.

Give Ozil a Silva type role, where he plays wide but is able to come in if we bring on Walcott. Also if we are getting a midfielder it should be spent on Firmino, though I'd prefer we spent all the money on two strikers.

How about keeping Özil centrally and signing proper players for the other positions instead.

Pedro ticks all the boxes. Unlikely to prize him away from Barca though.

Really wish we had signed Pedro in january. Would have been a great Walcott replacement.

Why are you guys mentioning Pedro? Is he out of favour at Barca or something?

He was for a while. Been in and out of the team a bit this season for various reasons.

He is Barcelona's second or third best scorer this season. Wish we had such 'out of favor' players. 🙂

Doubt Barca are selling with all the transfer mess.

I'd love to find a way to get Reus but how eager will Dortmund be to sell given that Lewandowski is on his way out?

Yeah Reus would be great.

I'll say it again, I think we should take a punt on Morrison. Look at what Sterling is doing for Liverpool under the right guidance, Morrison could have an even bigger impact if he finally grows up.

Dortmund would sell for £50m, they'll only get £30m in 2015 so I don't think they would turn down the extra £20m to keep him for one season because it doesn't look like he is interested in extending his deal. We should throw the kitchen sink at getting him in but the club won't ever pay over the odds for him when he has a release clause in 2015. Just like we showed with Suarez, not enough conviction and bottle to get the deal done.

Klopp has been proven right about him being inconsistent, no chance he will take him now imo.

Supposedly getting paid £250k after tax, thanks to there being no income tax in Monaco, will take one of hell of an argument to convince him! He might wanna move but I don't think we'd be able to convince him. Maybe someone like Chelsea or City.
