He was mentioned a whole ago by someone else, but it seems like Camavinga is still going strong,which is special for such a young player. Never seen him play, but maybe we could do a Saliba on him unless other bigger clubs have already shown their interest.

Norwich are very much doomed, we should start trying to get Buendia now as Maddison is probably not in reach.

It's like when someone leaked this summer that Bennacer's wages were €350K and the Milan fans were stunned, but it turned out that some journalist had just confused the number with what he earned at Empoli. He got €350K there... annually. €6.7K per week roughly.

Man it has to suck to play for a newly promoted top division club. You're still on second division wages, most of the team is crap, you'e more likely to go down again than you are to stay up, and your one hope if you do get relegated is that you've managed to stand out well enough in a bad crowd for someone to launch a big bid for you.

Given our big splurge last summer, I expect we are low on money now, so cannot do a crazy move. Should aim to plug the team with enough firepower to give us a fighting chance in Europa League.
central defense: Boateng in, Mustafi on the kerb

central midfield:

cheap speculative signing. Go to RB Salzburg and ask for Szoboslai. We should be able to do this for under £15m. Versatile number 10/8 who is skillful and powerful.
if we have more money, go to RB Leipzig and ask for Haidara. Could be an ideal Ramsey replacement if available. They ‘bought’ him for about £15m from their sister club but have played him only 6 time this year, so they might be more willing to let go of him Mid-season than say Upamecano. Very dynamic, could give us goals from midfield

Why would we do that though? It's not fantastic to be an Arsenal supporter now just because Arsenal are better than 99,9 % of all the world's football teams.

You may be on second division wages, but the bonus structure is going to be far more lucrative in a top division. The Athletic just had an article on how there are bonuses worked into every facet of the game these days, including goals, assists, wins, league position, final position, etc.

I would assume that a newly promoted team is going to significantly ramp up their bonus structure when in the top division.

Canales is good again and Luis Alberto is having a great season. If we want a budget David Silva, these guys would be decent shouts I reckon - Alberto more so than Canales.
