The starting position is less relevant to me. He's a central player at heart and I think it's obvious just watching him, but Norwich have almost no game through the middle so he'd be wasted there. I'd count being capable of playing anywhere in midfield as another plus.

He's a CAM and he could come in to play the Ozil role or adapt the system so we play with 2 at the top of mid, but that would change the offensive system completely.
Watch the Crystal Palace-Norwich game if you get a chance. Everything useful went through this guy. Their goal came from his penetration and quick feet. Most of their run of play attacks were constructed via him. Also takes most of their dead balls - corners and free kicks. Only drawback is he's no bigger than a sack of potatoes but he's very talented.

Would love me some Rodrigo de Paul here. Thought he was a talented albeit generic tricky winger at Valencia but bit fluff but he's reinvented himself in Udine, terrific work rate good frame, nimble feet and plays always with his head up and an eye out for a team mate

I’m overall happy with the squad. I’m not one of those guys who thinks we need 5 or 6 players immediately. But I do think we need two midfielders. I struggle to think how we can put any combination of mids in a 433 that makes any kind of sense. I’m happy to keep Torreira at the base, and maybe train Willock or Douzi to deputize. But up top we need two guys who can run, pass, shoot. I’m thinking folks (different price levels) like

Zaniolo
vd Beek
Szoboszlai
Havertz
Neves

If we want we can add some power with a Partey or Doucoure as well, although I’d prefer two of the above

Turned 24 already couple days ago but could be some type of Drogba late bloomer. Physically and technically he's already good enough, Le Havre want 10m and I'd definitely pay it for him.
