You guys are greedy. You start next year with Chambers, Holding and Saliba. Chambers is playing really well this season. I’d try him central if Bellerin finds form later this season.

I think those three are a good bunch too Claude. We could have found someone older (and better than Luiz) to top it off maybe but we have plenty of potential.

I dislike Mings on a personal level, but there might be an opportunity there if Villa get relegated. Selling him for 30-ish million could save their budget for a year in the Championship. I think maybe he'd be a good contrast to the mentioned Arsenal trio.

It's a potentially good bunch with a lot of ifs. Chambers have done well this season, but he's almost exclusively played as a fullback. Holding is my favorite of the two, but it remains to be seen if he gets back to last season's level as he's been very shaky lately. Saliba seems great, but he's still 18 years old. I'd get rid of Luiz and Sokratis in the summer, and with Saliba and one new guy (try for Upamecano again?) I'd be very happy with our options.

Neither is Holding. Saliba is also 18 years old. If he plays a big part next season. Expect more Europa League football.

Saliba is 18 but he’s advanced for his years. We are looking at someone who is outpacing Upamecano and potentially on Varane pace.
Chambers has really impressed me this year. He’s a great example of someone who is given a chance and makes the most it. Yes he knows the position but given his attributes, it’s not going to be his best but he has done quite well and is consistently one of our 3 most influential players statistically in every game. He can still improve. He could’ve shown better timing and strength for the headed goal we conceded versus Wolves, for example.
Trading will really depend on what we achieve. An Upamecano purchase will likely depend on Emery getting top 4. Otherwise, we are screwed. I’d keep one of Sokratis/Luis, and then dump the rest and bring in one more

Think people are being too quick to judge Holding on his return, he's just rusty. He's better than half the defender wishlisted in the last few pages IMO.

No, Ziyech signed a new contract.

It would've made a lot more sense to sign him and a CM/CB vs. spending everything for Pepe.

I think he would have adapted faster and is generally a more effective player than Pepe anyway in a possession based team.

I don't know if there's anyway but I want us to throw everything at Soyuncu, Tonali, Havertz and Haaland

Still a bit rough around the edges but what a phenomenal prospect.

The guy is incredible, Ricky. If we were not having a shambolic season, we would qualify for Champions league, buy this guy with our big money and stick him next to Saliba. Round it out with Holding and Chambers.

Or maybe we just start stripping the team anyway. Mustafi, Sokratis, AMN, Nketiah, Xhaka are some of the players who can start to fund this type of acquisition.
