Fuck that. One day every 4 years after the world cup, with mandatory 4 year contracts, a strict salary cap, progressive wage structure, a community investment obligation, and a hard squad size limit. No loans.

Whilst we've been linked to a number of wingers this summer, one thing I've seen recently pointed out that there is a difference to the type of players they are and as a result it is hard to get a clear picture as to what we seem to be after.

We have the likes of Zaha and Everton who are dribblers who like to run at defenders and to cut in side and go for goal more like WFs.
Fraser is a provider rather than a scorer and nor does he look to take defenders on.
Bowen is almost the exact opposite - he scores goals playing from wide like Reus.
Malcom seems to be a bit of everything in that he can take players on with ball at feet, score and assist.

Anzac, that’s the opportunistic Arsenal way. There is no grand plan. We just grab what we can and will end up with a vulgar squad like the reject toys in Toy Story - the hooker and her squadron.

honestly, what is the point of any of this? we've fallen so far behind and it is going to take a radical change or a miracle for us to be on the same footing as city and liverpool

say what you want about the tenets of financial doping, at least its an ethos

I look at the midfield and once I see Xhaka in it, I immediately get weak, then I see Mustafi at CB.

We might as well have not signed anyone this summer.
