Bayern want to get rid because of a) his being injury prone and even more important b) Boateng having some commercial cooperation agreement with Jay-Z in the US. Rummenigge virtually said as much that he's pissed off with one of his assets having their own commercial interests going, would be understandable generally that he doesn't want his players travelling too much during their days off but it's painfully obvious that he's not a fan of this specific type of joint venture.
