We've only got him on loan anyway, so we might as well find a better no 2 instead of signing him permanently.

... Or we could just give Fabianski one more season to try and grab that #1 spot. My feeling is that he's the better of the two we've got right now but can't get a look-in. A medium-term injury to Szczesny and we could have a new first choice keeper for the next couple of years though.

i agree he will eventually be a better keeper, but theres no way he will stay, he would have to sign a new contract and anyway he flushed away enough years waiting here...we will sign viviano if he liked the life here

As far as replacements go:-

Expensive ones: Coleman, Piszczek

Young but very talented: Chambers, Clyne

Been around but could do a job: Richards, Juanfran

Internal solutions Bellerin

I'd try for Coleman failing that I'd get Calum Chambers - he looks a serious player. Athletic strong and good on the ball having switch from midfield

Wasn't Varane a huge world beater last year? Is he out of favour?

Woukd love Coleman great on the ball. Remember our right back is basically a wide mid at times.

What about Mauricio Isla? I remember him being outstanding at Udinese, superb attacking right back. Hasn't had much playing time at Juventus though. Still only 25, can fill in as right mid or center mid as well.

Isla would be my choice too. Top potential and he can't be too expensive after two years in the wilderness.

Go for Jung, Uchida, Aurier, Sakai, Montoya, Piszcek, Corchia, Peruzzi if you want something cheaper than Coleman.

Isla is a good shout. I'd be very interested in Micah Richards as he can also be back-up CB. He'd be a bit of a risk since he is injury prone, but I reckon he'd be up for a switch since he is struggling for playing time at City. Doesn't hurt that he is an absolute tank as well.

I wouldn't mind it if we had a good back-up, but if we buy Micah Richards we'll probably end up seeing Jenkinson way more than we'd like to.

I'd be chuffed with Isla, Diego Costa and a big physical bloke for midfield like William Carvalho.

We do? Don't mean to be rude, but everytime someone say we have a certain amount of money to spend I feel like they're just pulling a number out of their ass. How do you know that 70 million is the right number?
