Why do people think Pogba + Ramsey would work in CM?

Doesn't he have a similar playing style? Gets forwards lots etc.?

Pogba is definitely a more attacking box to box player, but he's played the holding role well for France in the past. I'm sure with some proper coaching he could play in a double pivot with Ramsey where they'd take turns going forward, but it'd be a massive waste of potential to play Pogba as a strict holding player IMO.

I think he's bound for Madrid or PSG.

You can't never have too much quality players. I agree that playing Pogba as a strict holding midfielder would take a lot of weapons from his overall game. I hope he doesn't sign for a PL rival. The dude is big time and he is only 20 years-old.

Gibbs is about twice the player Monreal is.

ST - Balotelli for me or Costa. Either and I would be ecstatic.

Draxler LM and a fit Theo RM.

Any of our MF apart from Diaby.

Gibbs LB. Sagna RB at all costs.

Plus some other blokes.

Balotelli is mentally unstable. Look how Giroud's antics were a distraction recently. Now imagine that x10. But on the pitch were it really hurts.

My fear is that Costa is not athletic enough for the Premier League.

Agree, little concerned he's standing out in La Liga strictly on his physicality/athleticism. But then I realize his finishing his spot on if not spectacular (as in 20+ yard screamers).

Costa is miles more athletic than Giroud, and we're a top off top spot near the end of February with Eeyore as our main striker. He may not be Cavani/Aguero level, but Costa is a really good player. Scores the easy chances with his head and his weak foot, works the channels really well.

Davies isn't as good as Gibbs or Monreal IMO. Not at the moment anyway.

Pipe dream but that would be an unreal team. I could deal with not signing Shaw provided we got Cavani and Reus. That's like an extra 20-30 goals added to the side.

Reus strikes me as somewhat feasible given Wenger's lack of trust in Poldi, and our problematic near total lack of goals from out wide when Theo's out, which I'm sure even he sees. Can also play CF too - Arsene likes his players flexible.

Cavani will stay at PSG another season at least imo. Perhaps Balo or Costa really are our best options, but for differing reasons I'd much rather the Uruguayan.

Don't think Arsene is interested in Shaw/Schneiderlin. We've spent too much time on the Gibbs project, and ever since Vieira left Arsene doesn't "do" aggressive and physical ball winners.
