Sign them both. Play them at the base. Move Ramsey a little forward, and Ozil in rotation or on the flank.

We just need a strong water carrier for the front 5, we've got Arteta and Flamini now who can't lift the water bottles anymore, which makes them rather pointless.

Me too, other laughed but he's been very good in the PL and still only 23.

I'd take Cabaye. Not an ideal solution but he's better than Flamini at the very least; probably Arteta too at this point. We could play him anywhere in midfield too. No more putting Cazorla centrally and telling him to tackle!

I like Cabaye as a player but he'd solve nothing for us. He's another Ramsey, Wilshere, type. He's talented but we'd be far better off with a less talented player who's more defensive and more physical.

Yup, people rolled out the "I told you so's" pretty early on him. Good player, really like his type in general in midfield. Fun to watch as well, not just a shithouse.

Still not a fan of Wanyama. He looks like the worse version of Alex Song to me. He doesn't really sit and his passing is overambitious. Can't see how he would be a better option than Cabaye at the moment.

I'd take Schneiderlin no questions asked though.

TBH I don't think that's his role.
I think both Wanyama and Song were supposed to primarily play as supporting ball winners between 2 playmakers, rather than being the deepest/ holding CMd/DM, but could do so when required against stronger teams.
Essentially we've replaced Song's role as ball winner with Rambo as an attack minded B2B player, and Flamini as another defensive ball winner who doesn't go as far forward or as often.
