Yeah i know they could, but surely City or United aint offloading their £200k+ p/w strikers anywhere to accomodate Cavani this window. Chelsea just purchased Costa, have Torres and added Drogba.

We can pay £200k and guarantee him a starting spot straight away + London living. We're on the rise. We must be the front runners if he's available.

This makes too much sense for it to happen though.

United can barely sign a desperately needed center back, don't think they're gonna be chasing down Cavani. The hard part will be getting Paris to sell Cavani instead of some Lavezzi + Pastore + Lucas Moura combination. Hopefully there's not a lot of demand for the latter three.

nobody wants or needs those guys. at least none of the big teams. look at the AMs at Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Barca, Real and Bayern. better than PSG. they'll have to ship those guys to Italy at 50c on the dollar

I really doubt we will ever be able to land Cavani. He is too big a fish and most clubs will happily shed a striker to accommodate him. I hope that we can get one of the strikers that are shed (Benzema perhaps) in the ensuring merry-go-round.

I think the biggest stumbling block is the money it will take. 40m+ and big wages. I don't think PSG would take too much convincing to sell and i don't see anyone else able or willing to make him the main man up front.

We can do the fee. Wages are a big question too, you're right. Hard to believe he wants to rot on the bench or the wing at PSG for another year though. And his agent has been shopping him around, so I've figured he would be flexible but you never know.

I think United would drop van Persie in a heartbeat if they thought they could land Cavani. He's expensive, injury prone and past thirty. He's also a lesser player.

He's not a lesser player either. Just an injury prone cunt. Brilliant striker though, one of the very best around when fit.

At 31 there are probably still a few takers. Another season and they will be stuck with him though.

Now Gibbs is out, I'd like to see us Sign a top quality LB. Also, unless Sanchez is gonna play up front for most of this season, we still need a CF. The lack of pace and movement is killing me.

Zlatan injured his back today. He and Thiago are on the sidelines already. Sad for us

It sounds like he might have broken or fractured a rib. He said he couldn't breathe, and that he still had trouble breathing after the game. I've fractured five or six of them and that's exactly what it felt like, every single time. If it is a rib injury then he won't be able to play again for a month or two.

I don't think Cavani was leaving either way, but this pretty much ends that transfer rumour.

Thought he looked pretty terrible, was actually particularly unimpressed with him and couldn't understand why he saw so much of the ball.
