getting rid of arteta and flamini would be ludicrous at this point in the window. just keep them both and sign a first team cm.
Lets go nuts. Marco Reus and a suitable CM. Replace Vermaelen. Wouldn't mind Rojo. Can play LB and CB and doesn't get injured too often which is important for a squad player. Would be a good option at LB instead of Monreal for tough games.

Hopefully playing games but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if we went with what we have in there.
He keeps talking about Wilshere and I think he's keen to give him a chance in the back of his mind.
If that is that case then I hope he actually plays Wilshere and not Arteta/Flamini. Hopefully he's just backing up the current lot like he usually does though.
We needed Kim Kallstrom last season. Even if Wenger sees Wilshere as a central midfielder we might need a decent quality back up. The problem is Diaby can't be trusted and Rosicky should not play in the deeper roles. We have only Arteta and Flamini as options. Numbers are ok, think that quality may not be.

Seeing as Khedira's been blown out of the water, and Cavani's agent's making eyes at us, today I wish for Cavani.
I don't think we'll win (or even challenge for) the pl with Arteta or Flamini in central midfield. Central midfield was, at times, a disaster last season.
There is really too many midfielders and I can't see Wenger being ruthless about it. He really need to ditch Diaby and Flamini/Arteta to buy one more CM, but we know he won't. Somehow I got this funny feeling he is still very interested in Willy, and also keep an eye on which top class player is available. (Reus/Cavani)
Its easier to win the league with a second rate midfielder than a second rate striker. Get Cavani and I think we can cope with Arteta for on more season.
