Don't get the fuss about Reus at all.

reus is good, but no way is he a 55m, or even a 35m player.

we can easily spend 100m this summer for the right players. cost shouldn't even be a consideration - a decade of zero net transfer spend means there's loads in the bank. if gazidis got off his ass and got our commercial figures anywhere near united and chelsea, then we'd be in business. he's literally costing us one star signing every summer.

Reus is absolutely a £40m player, can't believe there are serious doubts about his ability. I just don't think we're buying out wide - I do think we're missing something out there but we have needs at ST, CM, and RB and we have Wilshere/Chamberlain/Walcott/Cazorla/Podolski to play those positions, plus Gnabry and even Rosicky.

Martinez Ramsey
Ozil
Walcott Costa Podolski

Bench: Giroud, Wilshere, Ox, Vermaelen, Jenkinson, Flamini, new gk

Not too sure about that left wide area. I think this might be the time to let Cazorla go, as Chamberlain will give us as much from wide areas and Santi's a bit small to play centrally in our league.

But I don't think Theo - Costa - Poldi is a balanced setup either. I'd like to see us experiment with Jack wide right, maybe we can switch Theo to the left.

Think shifting Theo to the LWF would help Theo get goals (easier to curl shots in) but it could have a negative impact on his ability to create assists. Further, Theo has been so good in recent years because Sagna did a lot of his defensive work. Not sure that dame scenario will be present on either wing this season.

i like your line-up, mate. it has goals in it. that's all i've ever wanted. Costa can also play off Giroud with one of your 3 AMs sitting on the bench. at this stage, Cazorla has to be considered an alternative to Ozil. we can't play the two simultaneously as neither of them score enough goals

Yeah I think we really fucked up letting Napoli get Higuain. Benzema seems the best of the strikers we've a chance of signing this summer. Is expect 20-25 from him and I think he could stretch the game a bit more if Wenger tweaks the system a little. We'd still need another big signing to be competitive though.

Yep. A much easier, cheaper signing than Cesc and Martinez. Don't want another Suarez situation where we spend the summer hoping we get someone, Schneiderlin could be wrapped up nice and early. Ticks pretty much every box needed and even has extra benefits such as qualifying as a homegrown player.

Same here. Only 24 as well, seems to have a good injury-free record. As an added bonus he doesn't even play for the national side. Theres really not a lot to complain about.

Pretty much every dominant team in europe does it - take the best players from your league and then add that extra quality wherever possible.

Madrid, Munich, Juve, United; it's too obvious but we have never really been interested in that approach. Admittedly, the sums involved in premiership transfers have probably been a big factor.

Podolski shouldn't be anywhere near our first choice. At best a squad option. Cazorla, Wilshere and Chamberlain are all better options.

That's the problem position.

I don't think I'd put Jack out there at all, and Cazorla has been going missing too often. Ox is a wonderful little player and if he comes on this season he might appear very regularly.

With a new right back, a quality holding player and a striker we'd have to start putting some decent blokes out to pasture.
