Current board and the owner salivate at the money in the coffers....
If he signs, then he is off to the WC come June....Signings, transfers, etc., before then?
If he resigns, then how soon would this owner/board sign on a new manager?

Yep he will have very little time for us after commentating at the WC. It will all be late again. Apart from a Sanogo nothing happens early with AW.

We need a win at the FA Cup and his retirement announced as soon as after it, then get on with things and show the world that Arsenal are changing, ready to spend and ready to win things again. Without CL (a possibility) we need to act like Man City and Chelsea did as they reinvented themselves. Not with as much dosh obviously, but we can still do a LOT without HUGE expenditure.

A great striker and a new manager early and watch things move very, very quickly.

How can you reinvent yourself like City and Chelsea did without spending the money that day did?
Wasn't that all that their reinvention involved?

We can do a lot without spending as much on as many players, but it will take big money to buy the level of attacking talent that we need.

Our new manager better be genius.

we're still just 2 players away from title contention, granted that's not saying much when the 2 players in question are a world class striker and a great DM. but i'm not going to kneejerk and say the squad needs reconstruction just because the team has lost motivation and belief and we've had our 3 best players out. both of those are temporary/correctable issues.

We've seen change at the club in the last 12 months. Started in the summer and if we win the FA cup it will have continued into the season. That's enough to make me look forward to next season.

People keep saying that but how many seasons do we need to keep saying we need 2 more we need 2 more we need 2 more? It's 9 bloody consecutive season we keep deluding ourselves that we are just a little away from the title. Wenger isn't the man to bring us that step up top and that should be clear this season.

Even if we win the fa cup and achieve top 4, fact is this hasn't been a good enough season for us. Just few weeks ago we were still top of the league and Liverpool was 7 points behind us. The way we reignited their title hopes and kickstart their season, collapse so badly against the top 6 away is unacceptable. I am still very unhappy we are not even in the mix for the title race at this stage of the season. We will never get a better chance for it. We have led the table for 3/4 of the season only to collapse in the final 2 months, completely bulls.

We need more than just two players. 4-5 is more like it while keep the majority of players we have now. (Not Giroud, Arteta, Monreal and Sanogo).

if wenger is in charge, it will never end, because when we plug one hole, we'll sell a van persie, fabregas or whoever. but i'm still adamant that we're two big acquisitions away (3, if you count a new manager) from being a european force.

Reconstruction: A new manager for starters....Let him bring in new players....

I believe a lot of work needs to be done to transform the club into contenders. Some of it will come down to bringing new quality players in, but I think the most important point is about instilling belief. Wenger after so long without winning I feel lacks the genuine credibility to inspire in this bunch and it may be that despite the obvious talent we still possess, some of our "better" players may need to be sold if they cannot acquire that mental toughness or consistency that has defined successful individuals.

It's going to be tough next season if we have to play CL qualifiers again while the World Cup is going to probably push back potential deals so I think we may have the hardest job to retain top four.

How many seasons have we actually got 2 more? More often than not we've lost 2 instead.

Who Sagna? He's a solid player with a great attitude but integral is an exaggeration. No one else important appears to be leaving at the moment.

The real problem is that most top managers would replace a player like Sagna relatively easily but Wenger will struggle.

Nothing will change until the fans make a concerted effort. I want the fans to absolutely demand signings be done before preseason or the first competitive game. None of this "after the qualifiers" bollocks.

I think so too Y va, the problem with the players is that they don't believe in Wenger anymore, get a new respected manager in and they will improve dramatically.
