Personally I think it's sad that this is the kind of discussion that you feel the need to have in the match thread before a big game.
Carry it on here if you must, keep it away from the build-up.
Some of us want to enjoy it.

That's another issue Invis, I was really just referring to the posts about sacking and kicking Wenger being out of place in the build-up in the match thread.
If nobody's excited about a semi final in Wembley fair enough but keep the Wenger sacking discussions here 🙂

Wenger will go this summer. He's been shown up badly by Brandon Rodgers. people here like to sing about Luis Suarez and Sturridge being the only reason that Pool are top. But other than Gerrard (in his best form since Istanbul) the rest of that Liverpool team would struggle to be considered better than our own favoured starters. After this, he can't harp on about financial doping. He's just been shown to be a massive waster of resources andtime

Again, using Liverpool as an example of doing 'it' on the cheap is well wide of the mark. They are financially doped to, just not at Man City and Chelsea level.

If we fail today Wenger should stay for the rest of the season and do at least the one thing he's done without fail which is to get top 4, after that he needs to call it a day.

Nah, it is not 'whatever'. If you can't wish for the most influential manager in the club's history to go out on a high, I'd say there is something wrong. In the end, I want him to go anyway, but it would be sweet if he could go out with a trophy as well as CL spot, some of the best young players in the country in the squad, and with a more than respectable transfer kitty for the next guy.

We need to get Klopp before the mancs see sense and sack Moyes.

Wenger is past it. Outdated and out of touch. The guy is a legend - but he is so stubborn and has failed to adapt to the modern game.

The fan base is also split. The atmosphere at times is toxic over this issue. The only way to unite the fan base is behind a new, fresh, charismatic manager.

This summer is the perfect time for Wenger to go. He can either go out on a high with a cup win, or his position will surely become untenable if we win nothing/come 5th. Civil war in the fan base is a real possibility if he signs on for 2 more years.

What worries me the most though is the ineptness of our board. They are more out of touch/clueless than Wenger. I have zero faith in them finding a replacement.

The longer this contract issue drags on, the more harmful it will become. This dallying is typical of what has been wrong with Arsenal over the past 5 years. If he isnt staying, we should be putting the feelers out to Klopp right now - maybe we are, but I very much doubt it.

If Wenger is to go we need to get a new man in place ASAP. This summer is going to be disrupted enough with the World Cup.

Whether he stays or goes, with this current board I have little faith in us getting it right.
