Gotta wonder how much £100 million will get you this summer. We need a striker, a rightback and a centreback - arguably two. We need one or two keepers too and a central midfielder, and we could really use a winger. It's just too much work for one summer, especially when there's a World Cup going on. We'll make one big signing eventually but we won't overspend on players who aren't top class.
I wouldn't be surprised if Diaby turned out to be Wenger's solution to central midfield. It feels like he has it in him to fuck up one more season for us before his contract is up. I don't think Wenger sees it as a disaster to promote Jenkinson either if he can't find a good rightback for the right price.
