Bradley wages at Toronto is 6.5m per year, which will put him comfortably into Serie A's top 10 earner. Explains it all.

6.5m dollars a year is top 10 serie A? bad

You sure that figure is correct? Beckham's base salary at LA Galaxy was $6.5m, Dempsey is getting just over $5m in Seattle. Henry/Donovan are on less. Can't see Bradley earning as much or more than them, not nearly as big a name.

Bayern have acquired another player on a free transfer.

Eintracht Frankfurt and German U21 midfielder Sebastian Rode will join Bayern in summer after refusing to extend his contract.

As soon as there is a little competition in the Bundesliga Bayern go and just buy all the other clubs' best players. Shame.

Thats why the Premiership is the only decent league. Its the only team that combines top talent and real competition.

Damiao has moved to Santos for 10m pounds.

why is he still in Brazil? Thought he was meant to be decent, always linked with spurs and Liverpool.

Most likely it was just his agent hyping him up. Otherwise he would have been snapped up a long time ago.

Solskjaer filling up Cardiff city with ex-Man United players.

He has already signed up Eikrem from Heerenveen and is now linked with ex-United academy player Mats Moller Daehli and ex-United striker Mame Diouf.

Chelsea are finalizing the transfer of De Bruyne to Wolfsburg for 18m €, according to Sky Italy

That's quite a lot of money. He didn't look that impressive against us in the League Cup.

Boy has a bright future. Smart move to get out of Chelsea too.

What the heck? Bradley was looking class at Roma. Why would he move there now in his prime?

american players are losers. dempsey went to seattle for no reason, too, and donovan never did anything in europe. no ambition.

the only american players worth a damn are the keepers.

Harsh. It's not easy living away from home.
You may earn more money but that won't necessarily improve your standard of living.
In America, he has friends and family close by plus he doesn't have to walk on eggshells trying to understand and be respectful to foreign climes and cultures plus he, probably, has an American wife so these problems are doubled.

Not very hard to adjust to the UK as an American, very similar cultures.

exactly, Bold Tone, it's a very Eurocentric view of the world that he must play in Europe

Good move for all parties tbh.

Relatively fair price, yet Chelsea still double their money, and De Bruyne will get playing time in a world cup year.

Cabaye allegedly threatening to move on a Webster in the summer unless he's sold this January, would only cost £6m to buy out the remainder of his contract.

It's in the mirror though, so probably a complete fabrication.

No it's not. It's just where the best leagues are at. The average footballer's top career will be over by the time he reaches 30 too. You're telling me that Bradley couldn't possibly play 3-4 years in England before moving back to Toronto (where he's nowhere close friends or family anyway)? Gonna have to call bullshit on that.

i'm saying exactly what it sounds like. that if i was a professional and somebody told me that i could make 3-4 million pounds a year to play football in my home country, and be part of an exciting project there, i would do it.

Klaus, if i told you today that we are signing Bradley for 60-80 000 pounds a week, what would you say?

Toronto is in Canada.
