The 'people don't appreciate what Ozil does' line is not only patronising but it's flawed too. It's the sort of argument that can be justified with Hleb and Rosicky but not someone who's the best no 10 in the world, his contribution should be obvious to the most dimwitted viewer.
At the moment it isn't obvious, his contribution is too subtle and too sparse. As his authority, understanding and adaptation to his new role, team and league grow then he'll almost certainly get better but at the moment I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a little more from him going forward.
