Your tactical mistake tactics is in assuming Ramsey's fitness levels are human.

All well and good, but fans shouldn't complain when he starts running on an empty at a crucial stage in the season. We've seen it happen to the likes of Fabregas before. Besides, there are 2 other reasons why I believe we shouldn't start him against Dortmund.

Fabregas never had a decent engine on him for a CM. Ramsey could out run him any day any time. Aaron's fitness levels have always been remarkable. I think we saw it first when a couple of years ago when we beat Chelsea 3-5, if replay the end of that game, you'll see Ramsey sprinting forward full pelt in the 95th minute, after giving a monumental shift in the 90 mins. Cesc had and has many qualities but that wasn't one. We should be careful not to overplay him and I wouldn't have started him in the league cup but I'm not overly worried about him running out of steam. That's the main advantage he has over everyone else.

We also saw that Ramsey was running on fumes the second half of that season, he said so himself. Every player needs rest now and then.

That was the second half of the season though - we're only 9 games in just now.

Well he got burned out in the 2nd half of that season because Wenger overplayed him in the 1st half of the season. Therefore now's the time to give him a breather whenever we can.

Hopefully he has a word with Chris Coleman and doesn't play in the pointless friendly vs Finland a couple of weeks from now.

Cesc was always up there in terms of distance covered (I used to check CL stats), and he used to play ridiculous amount of matches especially for someone so young.

Cesc regularly used to cover more blades of grass than anybody else.

I wanna see

Szcz
Sagna Mert Kos Gibbs
Arteta Ramsey
Cazorla Ozil Rosicky
Giroud

I'd swap Wilshere in for Rosicky in that starting eleven.

Wenger didn't mention it yesterday so from where's Goal.com understanding this news?
It's not unlikely unfortunately 🙁
Damn, that ankle's the bain of his life.

That's a big blow if true. He might have not been at his best lately but still a player who looks quite dangerous higher up the pitch the last few games. Fuck his ankle.

Ozil really needs to prove his worth today.

I don't think Wilshere will be a massive miss tbh. Though it is concerning his ankle continues to give him problems.

Better for him to be out for this than for matches where we really need someone to navigate tight spaces in midfield.

It means playing Rosicky, that's a big miss for me.

😆 I have a sneaky feeling Rosicky will score today..

Silently hoping that he will be the big game player we've missed for many years and will step up to that today.

Maybe a little hard to see considering the way he hasn't yet stamped his authority in open play during his time at Arsenal.

Today is the perfect time for him to justify that out of character price tag.

We will do well today. Liverpool attack with plenty of players; that will give us space to exploit in transition. If anything, I would prefer us not to press too high up the pitch for the majority of the game.

This is another game where we will really miss Walcott. 🙁

I'd go with Gnabry, Ozil, Cazorla
