Who do we think it'll be?

A few contenders are maybe soldado, Lamela, eto'o, fellaini.

Soldado and Fellaini

I think Jovetic will get good stats for the game time he gets

Paulinho looks crap

I think Paulinho looks class.

Van persie, he seems affected by the recent events at united and arsenal, and that was shown by that miss against Sunderland.

Does a flop have to be expensive?

Aspas was like 10 mill and that tard barely looks like a footballer. This seasons Borini. Another masterclass by Brenton.

Lamela and Soldado will turn it around i think. AVB seems to think he's got to spend half a season bedding players in, like he did with Lloris. It's ok if you've got someone decent like Friedel to play in front of them but when it's dross like Sigurdson or Townsend it's a bit strange.

Paulinho's decent. From what i've seen of him he's probably around about Ramsey's level from the end of last season.

Fellaini looks like absolute shit though.

Aspas would be my pick as well.

And he looks weird.

Soldado looks like our ineffectual Chamakh but I wouldn't call him a straight up flop yet.

Aspas, Fellaini, RVP (anything under 15 goals would be a flop), and Schurrle (heard he looked better last game).

Schurrle is no flop!

If you want to get one of the Chelski boys in, then I'd say Willian looks a better bet.

Aspas is a brilliant transfer. I've gotten so many laughs out of it and it still keeps on giving.

I have no idea why Liverpool, having an entire generation of übercreative Spanish attacking midfielders to pick from, went on to sign a guy with two peglegs. He's been completely liberated from any useful qualities. It makes me happy to see him play because, somewhere deep down, it means that I still have a shot at making it in Premier League myself. It can't be that hard if Aspas gets a game regularly.

It looks like Lamela will really struggle to adapt to Premier League too. I figured as much when Spurs bought him.

Also, Soldado. But everyone knew he was a bit shit so he doesn't count.

Eto'o looks absolutely useless.
Fellaini has looked way out of his comfort zone aswell, have proven my doubts about him totally right so far when he was linked with us.
Dont know yet about the Spurs boys - Soldado looks most likely so far because he is not a young player anymore. Lamela can probably adapt even though it may take some time and it looks like AVB is being cautious with him. I predict he will become good by spring.
Aspas is a truly horrible signing, those loons were hoping he will be the next Suarez. That other spanish kid they bought for £5m is pointless also.

This.

Soldado, Lamela, Aspas and Eto'o will all flop this season it seems. I never rated Soldado though despite his goalscoring record. His play outside the box and with his back to goal is absolutely hilariously poor and always has been. He was always a Defoe mk II and Spurs fans shouldn't act surprised if they had actually seen him play in Spain.

Even though Fellaini has started poorly for United I still think he'll come good once he finds his place in their side. Also can't see Paulinho turning out to be a flop. He's definitely been one of Spurs' best players this season and he looks promising for them unfortunately.

With the Spurs signings it's more a case of their whole squad strategy flopping than individuals. If after spending £100m they can't scrape into the CL, even with the loss of Bale that's a flop at club level.

Hmmm. Jovetic.

Interesting one. Think there were a few inflated expectations about his probable impact, and like a lot of City signings he might end up very peripheral for a while.

Well then it's a case of their whole club flopping, everyone who becomes associated with Tottenham whether it be player/manager/coach their career soon turns to shit.
Tottenham are sort of like an anti Midas touch.

Bale. Silliest transfer ever.

what.the.fuck. i would not take a picture with someone dressed like that. i'm embarrassed for the guy who was so desperate to take a pic with a footballer that he was willing to be plastered all over the internet with someone looking like that. what.the.fuck.

and the pervie look on his face ... that laughing idiot is about to get raped by the chimp.

He is so far. Every bit as poor as Soldado since he's arrived in England.

For real, heard he played better last game but till then he's been near useless in the 3 or so Chelsea games I've watched.

I'll give it until January before Madrid fans realise they paid 100m for a player not even as good as Di Maria LOL

how pearce was ever employed in football astounds me. the guy knows less about football than some guy on the street.

And yet the Daily Mail puts a photo of Pearce screaming mindlessly at someone in a montage of "English spirit" for its campaign to turn Wilshere into a nationalist talisman (along with Bryan Robson and Paul Gascoigne).

In a football sense the gap between Pearce and Wilshere couldn't be wider ...
