To be fair, Stan Collymore was a class player. Mental as fuck, mind.
He was a huge name in the mid 90s, and then there was the Ulrika Jonsson affair, didn't hear much from him after that ...

This has got to be the first time anyone has used the words Stan Collymore and class in the same sentence. 😆
😆 No Biggs, I'm pretty sure there have been many variants of "That fucking Stan Collymore has no class whatsoever" uttered over the years ...

A few contenders are maybe soldado, Lamela, eto'o, fellaini.
Still flying the flag this lot
Soldado is chod. He has an 84 year old's body.
They've pissed 26 mill up the wall and have added big wages to the bill there 😆
He's the Spanish Chamakh.
Not at all. Unlike Chamakh he's a good finisher but outside the box he's absolutely useless. Silly AVB for signing him to play as the lone striker. Don't know what people expected. He was exactly the same player in Spain but at least there he had a team to create chances for him in the box.
Wrong thread volly
Decent penalty, but he looks an absolute donkey.
Jovetic, invisible. Not sure how serious our interest was but I'm relieved he never made it out of the wish list thread.
Jovetic is better than he is showing so far. he's only played like 5 total games for Citeh.. (2 of them being cup games, in which he had 2 goal mind)
he needs to be the focal point, and he will never be at Citeh.. wasnt the right choice for him IMO
Spurs
Has to be Fellaini. You have to be a big time flop to not get a game over a centre back in the United midfield.
Willian has to be up there too. Hasn't been given much of a chance but he cost a bomb.
Jovetic is a brilliant player. If given more chances he will shine for them. Still injured though so the jury is out. Same for William, shone through whenever he is given the chance but too little apps for any conclusions.
Soldado though... Really going to go morientes route

And Cleverley. 😆
Can't understand what Moyes has done to him. Fellaini isn't that bad a player and he's playing for the same manager - some potent voodoo mindfucking going on there.
Cleverley is shit. Can't believe we had a "Tom Cleverley" thread on here a year or two ago

I'm not saying Jovetic isn't a great player, I'm saying as a signing he's so far been a waste of money.
I'd rather waste 23 mill on a player that's not getting game time than 26 mill on a striker who looks like he's actively trying to fuck his team over.
Ignoring penalties, there are goalkeepers with as many goals as Soldado.
You'd be happy then if we'd spent £20m plus on a player who never played? I wouldn't. As for spending that on a player who can't score - reckon Wenger would know how to get more out of Soldado than AVB who's surrounded him with players who don't pass to him when he's in the box and who are intent on taking shots from distance themselves.
