yeah with Mertersacker, a regular German international, I'm not overly fussed if we dont get Cahill now. Ideally both would be better but I cant see that happening.

As much as our defence needs sorting Cahill would seem like overkill to be honest. Djourou has had a really poor few months but he's easily good enough to be 4th choice.
A player like Djourou will do better with someone like TV or Mertesacker beside him too. Plus Bartley will be back next year, he can be like Pers apprentice then.
i would love it if we signed another cb. would finally show we're becoming ruthless with results like the one on the weekend.

Would like him, butnwith dos Santos and Martesacker in, priority should now be AM, striker and midfield. One superstar in the first two areas could be enough.
