Also as others have said hopefully this signing will take the pressure off our better players like Wilshere and Cazorla (who I think has improved since last season-takes more responsibilty in games).

Couldn't be more pleased, it's not often Arsenal signs my favourite footballer. In fact, that never happens. Massive coup for us, the most important thing is that it proves we can still get big players. Can't believe Madrid let this guy go and bought Gareth fucking Bale 😆

No, you're absolutely right that we need more to win the league.

But.

This is a signing that will make the whole of Europe take notice. Seriously stunned, I wouldn't have expected the likes of PSG or United to sign him never mind us.

This goes against everything Wenger has done. We have actually signed one of the best players in the world from one of the big clubs. Absolutely stunned.

May sound a bit dumb, but I haven't seen an awful lot of him for Real Madrid aside from the CL as we don't get La Liga coverage in NZ. Where do we expect him to play? Presumably in the Cazorla role behind Giroud. Will he score goals or is he a pass master? 17 goals in 47 caps for Germany sounds good for an attacking mid. Will we be able to replace the goals Podolski would have score if he wasn't out?
