When asked about the impact Gervinho has made on Roma since signing from Arsenal in August, Totti said: "He has made our team an infinite times better. I don't normally praise players but Gervinho is one of the best players I have ever played with in my career. I saw him play 2 or 3 times at Arsenal and I did not think much of him, but from up close he's a beast. An absolute beast."

"If he were to score more goals too in his game, he would be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and Roma would never have been able to sign him. He is one of the best players this season in Serie A without a doubt though."

😆 Is he for real?

Gervinho for Ballon d'Or!

He has been terrific for Roma this season to be fair. Just wait until Totti sees him when he is low on confidence...

He doesn't look much different to Arsenal Gervinho. He's just in a worse league playing for a manager who uses the perfect tactics for him.

Totti probably knows this and is playing psychology to make sure his confidence lasts as long as possible.

The big test will come when he starts fucking up chances in big matches (like Juve or god forbid the derby) and they don't win because of it. Against Catania when he hit the post with the open goal, there was a lot of frustration, but Roma was up 2 or 3-0 at that stage. If these things happen a few times in a game and they lose, the crowd may start moaning, and then his confidence may get affected. He is beating players for fun in Serie A though - has a 80% chance of beating the first guy and 50% chance the second. Still fucks up the final ball more often than not though, and can't shoot, but it's working for him so far.

Honda joined AC Milan on a free. Finally gets a chance at a really big club. Starting @ 3:50 😆

Looking forward to seeing how he does there, always liked him. Juve v Roma tonight is a huge game.

What a terribly awkward interview 😆 Why can't they let him speak in Japanese?

Think he will shine in Serie A. Suits him

Juventus vs Roma at 745 UK time.

Looks like another ACL tear for Rossi. Really, really hoping that's not the case. Absolutely gutted for him.

Apparently he took a bad tackle and it wasn't a twisted knee/non contact injury. Let's hope it was just a dead leg.

Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah, Tevez, Llorente

De Sanctis; Maicon, Benatia, Castan, Dodò; Pjanic, De Rossi, Strootman; Ljajic, Totti, Gervinho

Juvw parking the bus at home

Hope Roma stuff them

Can't believe Roma have allowed such a soft goal. Juve didn't start well at all.

Fiorentina Prade' on Rossi's injury:"It's the right knee, the same knee (of ACL injury). The fear is that ligament is involved"

Fuck! hope it's not severe

Roma self-destruct as usual. Looks like Juve will win the title without much of a challenge unfortunately. I did tell you guys that 4/5 was an unbelievable price.....

You were bricking it at one point.

Not for one second in truth. This is Roma we're talking about, they make our 08-11 sides look like born winners. Would have been a little nervous if Napoli had won 10 straight perhaps.

Can't rule Roma out yet. They do have Gervais Lombe Yao Kouassi!

One of the best players Totti ever played with in his career mind you.

Di Natale retiring at the end of the season.

I just watched some highlights from the Milan game. Kaka is turning back the clock at the moment. He looks like the player he was back in 08/09 again. Bagged a brace against Atalanta and was the best player on the field.

Just saw this. Real shame. He's such a class act. You'd never guess his age just looking at him on the field. His movement, his anticipation, is that of a player in his prime and not in his twilight years. He scored one of the best goals I saw last year against Chievo:

Class is permanent.

It was pretty obvious Madrid was not using him correctly and didn't give him a good run in the team.

Absolutely, but there was the constant injuries too. He seems completely fit for the first time in nearly three years now. He's at least a yard quicker than he was in Spain.

Good to see him playing well, very elegant player to watch. Weird seeing him with the captains armband though. I know they'll probably sign him and he's been there before and Montolivio is missing and all that but surely you don't give the armband to a player on loan!

Kaka's on loan? Thought he moved to Milan on a free transfer.

Did he? Oops. Always thought it was a loan deal.

Yep 🙂

Milan confirmed that Kaka would join the club on 2 September 2013 from Real Madrid on a free transfer with only performance-related incentives due to Madrid, after agreeing terms and signing a two-year contract.[62] Kaka's contract is worth €4 million net per year and was given the number 22 shirt, the same number he wore for Milan during his first spell.[63] He was also made the vice-captain upon his arrival.[64] He captained Milan in his debut for second spell, taking the armband from Marco Amelia in a match against FC Chiasso.[65]

I wanted us to get him so much when RVP left 2 years ago, when Madrid and most thought he was past it. Should have been a gamble worth taking.

I always thought whenever he played at Madrid he still looked good.

Anyway, now with Honda and Fernando to join, Milan is rebuilding well.

Long after that transfer window shut Kaka said that he had agreed terms but there was a snag that stopped the deal to arsenal. Probably his agent wanting a fortune.

Are you saying he's still not past his best?

Kaka isn't a top player any more IMO.

One of the most overrated players ever to be honest, never reached the consistency of a proper world class player IMO. Still, at his peak he was winning matches on his own in a way you don't see too often.
