he also has otherworldly talent and is the sort of striker who would actually make Ozil better. people here complain that Ozil's been a bit shite. well, i believe that if he had a talented striker he could feed throughballs to then he would be even better. he's been normal at Milan so far.

From what I saw of Balotelli at city he does nowhere near the work our forward needs to in the system. 7 of his 17 goals have been from the spot. Anybody complaining Ozil has been "shit" is clearly someone who has a flawed view of the game. Confident Wenger will go nowhere near this nutcase.

Who said Ozil has been shit? 😆

I'd take Balotelli over Suarez any day of the week.

Rex just has an unreasonable anti-Suarez bias.

I think Balotelli is a better player for one thing. I am guilty of an anti Suares bias, but it is hardly 'unreasonable'.

I also think Balotelli is better than Suarez.

I would take Balotelli over Suarez too. Both of them have their mental issues but Mario is just a much more complete player. He'll prove it in due time.

I don't think Balotelli will ever be as effective as Suarez over a sustained period. Whatever you say about Luis Suarez he's desperate to make a difference in every minute of every game. Don't know what Balotelli is desperate for, but its not to be the best footballer he can be.

I'd settle for someone less effective than Suarez with a better allround game though.

I gotta be honest, I just don't see the big fuzz about Luis as far as players who are perceived as being world class go. He's obviously an outstanding individual footballer, but I don't think he's particularly close to the likes of Agüero or Rooney when they are on their game. For all the good he does there are still some pretty horrible decision-making going on too. I think he completed a single dribble and lost out in eight or nine this weekend. Kos had him in his pocket right from the start and the selfish prick just kept running at him. A lot of the things he does are really hard to pull off, but at the same time he makes it look unneccesary hard by taking it on all by himself.

I watched the game again this evening and I thought Suarez was absolutely electric. Kos did well, but Suarez had virtually zero service and still nearly created 2 or 3 good chances completely by himself. Would be interesting to see if he was quite so selfish in a better team.

But yeah, I'd take Aguero and Rooney over him too. But never in a million years Balotelli.

Yup, he was dangerous all game. Not his fault service was non existent from the mishmash of players Liverpool call a midfield. Even with that he almost made us pay on two occasions.

With us he won't need to work as hard for his goals, and would probably buy into the team ethic much faster.

On Balotelli, personally I've never bought in to the idea that he's some crazy eccentric. I think his image is contrived and a big show. He's a fancy Dan, attention seeking poser. If he dropped the act and applied himself he could be brilliant, but i think its far too ingrained now.

I think he's going to waste all that talent.
If I were to go Dr. Phil on it I'd say he doesn't love playing the game enough.

I have always maintained Suarez has dodgy decision making, and is far too greedy and selfish. There was one instance in the game at the weekend which sums him up pretty well for me; when he for once had a decent chance, but from a difficult angle, and had Sturridge looking at an open goal if he plays the very, very easy ball across our goal. The guy, as so many times before, opted for the greedy, and wrong, decision to take the chance himself.

Koscielny had it covered. He was right to go for the goal in that position.

i agree on balotelli, he doesn't have that internal drive. he just wants to get paid and get laid.

Balotelli will be another Cassano. A very talented player with temperament issues who will keep drifting between clubs without delivering on his promise.

Suarez was right to go for goal. He isn't a striker if he didn't. You can say the same about Giroud's miss chance
