He looks a lot more physically robust these days. i wasn't kidding when I said he looks like Aguero-lite. He certainly wasn't bullied off the ball by the Barcelona CBs, and he ran rings around them on several occasions.

They've been terribly defensively for years now, made up for it in the past with their pressing and ball retention but they aren't so good in that respect anyway.

Griezmann is a fine player, quick, very strong on the ball, and surprisingly good in the air. Hard worker too, with aggressive off the ball movement.

Think Griezmann and Chambo would be mint on the flanks.

[/quote]no one would be doing anything to sociedad, they agreed to the clause. it's likely part of the reason why the fee was so low.

I'm sure Vela was made aware that he could be bought back if he agreed to the contract arrangements with Sociedad too.

We should try to get Griezmann on a reduced price by waiving that buyback on Vela.

I'd like that, and I'd look into Zaldua too. He seems a top, top class RB in the making.
I haven't seen Sociedad all that much this season, but I will try to follow them a bit more the next few months.

I would assume we have a hefty sell on clause in his contract. That is what we have been doing with a lot of players we have moved on recently.

Why are we talking about Vela? He is a mentally fickle wimp who doesnt want to play for us or in PL. He also opted out of Mexico squad for WC. Huge partyboy too. Forget him.

Only good outcome re: Vela can be if a bigger club comes in for him and we get that 50% sell on fee.
