How do you guys feel about Ozil's missed penalty? And what does that say about your mental toughness?
Baresi & Baggio missed penalties in World Cup finals, does that make them mentally weak? Penalties are like a lottery, unless you hit it perfectly there is always a good chance the keeper will save if you go the right direction
You don't play for a team like R.Madrid or Germany and thrive there if you are mentally weak. He played under Mourinho who probably would of broken him if he was mentally fragile. Instead Mourinho loves him to bits.

It was annoying and disppointing how poorly struck it was, but it still required a save and at least didn't miss the target like Bayern's own one did shortly after. It's not like he shat himself and hit it into orbit. Goalkeepers at this level make saves, it happens. I was more upset about the red card.
Exactly, Gibbs going off and the red card changed the match. Bayern were getting stronger but wasn't like they had us on the ropes, Monreal switching off was why it all went wrong. Like you say Alaba's penalty was far worse but nobody mentions that because they won

Pivotal miss. We were in the ascendancy. He scores, we have a great chance to win the game. Instead, the tie is essentially done and dusted now.
I agree it was a big miss but red card and injury imo had a bigger impact than his penalty miss.
