Thats one game. I bet if you checked the stats most teams who got a 0-0 away draw in the first leg go through. You should be winning at home.
Think you've got to judge it in context. If you've got a clearly superior team, then going away for a 0-0 is fine, as you'd expect to win at home. If there is very little between the two teams a 0-0 away from home in the 1st leg can quickly look a pretty poor result. Knowing the way Atletico play, and knowing that the two teams were pretty even in terms of quality, I think Chelsea should have done a lot more to get the away goal.
