Their lineup was wrong, could see that straight away. The decision to play Azpilicueta ahead of their RB was baffling at best. Was a ridiculously defensive lineup, was hoping they'd nick a goal and defend for their lives. Too afraid to concede a goal because he knew his team probably wouldn't score more than one against them. Atletico just did what Chelsea do but at least had some attacking edge to them whereas Chelsea were just hoping Hazard or Torres would pull some magic out for them and then defend for their lives. Such a negative manager, when it comes off his fanboys shout from the rooftops but he is someone who sets his teams out to capitalise on others mistakes rather than forcing a mistake. Atletico just do it better right now, a few times now this season when it comes to taking the game to their opponents they struggle. When muppets like us show up there and let them play on the counter then they will murder you!
This Atletico team are fucking solid, bloody hard to break down but they can play as well. I remember back when the CL draw happened expert pundit Jamie Redknapp saying they were the team most would want to face and Henry saying if anything they are the last time you want to face. They don't have huge resources so wouldn't begrudge them playing the way they do, not the most entertaining team!
