I'm struggling to understand what value he brings to the team?! Still feel the money (time) could be better spent on a defender or forward....CM is where we're stacked.

Only way this makes sense to me is if we're looking to transition Rosicky out in January or next summer. Otherwise Ramsey/Wilshere/Cazorla seem to be ahead in the order.

We have 2 proper CMs in the squad and then a few AMs we play deep cos we're stuck. We really need another CM, especially if Artetas injury is bad.

we're not stacked at cm at all, especially with arteta being injured. we cant run jack and rambo into the ground either, theyre still very young

Hardly stacked. The likes of Frimpong, Zelalem, and Rosicky aren't (or shouldn't be) real options for CM.

Even Jack shouldn't be a real option there, so that really leaves only Ramsey as a viable CM player in our squad at the moment. Hardly what I call 'stacked'. Though admittedly Cabaye offers much of the same as Ramsey and Arteta.

Rosicky, AOC Carzorla etc......Wenger loves his midget midfielders, we're not hugely overstacked there but it's a hell of a lot better than elsewhere such as attackers defenders and goalkeeper where there is no depth at all.

I differentiate between CM and CAM personally, don't think that caz, AOC, Rosicky etc. would really be considered for the deeper positions except in an emergency.

Arteta, Ramsey, and Jack, are our only midfielders who can play deep at a reasonable level.

we will be exposed in central midfield. too many midgets. not enough players. no tough options. we have 3 midfield positions. we should have six viable options.
Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Rosicky, Cazorla
and then we enter the realm of Diaby, Frimpong, etc.

Too much for Cabaye, not enough for Di Maria. £40m for both would be good business though. Need that striker, however!!!

We could probably get Pogba/ Bender for a little over £20 Million. I don't see us going that high for Cabaye who clearly wants out and is on strike already.

Cabaye's playing his part in trying to ensure Newcastle let him leave.
The PSG links are pure speculation?
For me, if true, that would be the main impediment to us signing him.

I reckon this deal can be done around the £17mill mark, I think that would represent good business. He is a good player but imo not what we need.

Don't think we'll get either of them unless we go to £30mill or above. Bayer turned down £30mill from Bayern last season and Juve won't let Pogba go easily either.
