I've always been bothered about his decision making and technique when it comes to going in for tackles. Might cost him his career eventually. Hope he gets well soon. Kid needs some rest.

Cheers. From the clip, i can see why Agger launched himself as he was desperate to recover the ball from a shockingly bad touch.
Jack will pay the most as this injury will mean he cannot compete for a first team place for England.
Missed the match as i wasted my time watching Germany (who treated their match as a "nothing" friendly) to see what they were about.

agger most definitely did NOT go studs up - it was a completely fair tackle from the side. unlucky that wilshere kicked agger's foot instead of the ball.

i haven't been wilshere's biggest proponent, but this is definitely not good news. i do wonder if the generally brainless way he plays causes him to get hurt more often (as well as leaving our defence exposed).

It was a reckless desperate challenge from Agger alright. Wilshere had to go for the ball.

how was it reckless? wilshere didnt beat him to the ball, and agger didnt go studs up, he swiped from the side, as you are supposed to.

if that's a reckless tackle, then you basically don't think players should ever go to ground.

I think that people who dribble like Jack does sort of invite dangerous fouls. That's not a criticism of Wilshere; it's more about the lack of protection he'll get in Premier League. But the result is the same. I just hope he can avoid any serious fractures. Maybe things will be easier for him in a few years when he has established himself as the key player for England. The nature of the league is changing too.

Did the fucking cunt at least get a yellow? No ball and only got Wilshere's foot to kick, fuck all those poor footballers whose first fucking touch is worse than mine and have to compensate for that by going for a late tackle, fuck them. Fuck them.

Having said that, I've not been impressed by Jack's performances lately but he's been still the one you don't leave on the bench considering your other squad options. A big miss and Ramsey is still 3 weeks from a performance we don't need from him.

Fuck Agger.

It wasn't from the side it was a front on tackle, and there was enough force to break Jacks foot without getting the ball.

It's a contact sport. Not every injury demand the kind of 'root and branch' investigation our fans cry out for. Nobody is at fault here. Not Agger, not Jack, not the FA or Wenger.

Every team sport is a contact sport. The day football prioritises the likes of Agger over the likes of Wilshere is when it loses its point.

There's no way a guy with Wilshere's injury record and style of play can play central midfielder long term. He should settle for the right wing position.

I know some Liverpool types who reckon Agger did it on purpose :\

A "hairline fracture to the navicular bone in his left foot", an area not previously injured, that's not so bad thankfully.
I imagine it would hurt quite a bit so I'm not sure why he continued to play on.
