Bellerin is ahead of Chambers at full back on a performance basis now. Wenger said before that he wasn't ready to play against some teams and now he is on the bench as our go-to replacement FB. Against Citeh it simply wouldn't make sense to play Chambers, he would be exposed time and time again.

3 months for debuchy. lost first season here. shame.
Damn.
:gape:
That's rough, le pauvre.
Hope he recovers 100%
Shit. Can't they just do a Mel Gibson and pop that sucka back in and get on with it?
Useless signing. Turns out we bought a £10m reserve, since that is what I hope he will be by the start of next season.
Arnautovic a total cunt. Bet he looks at that and thinks pfffft.
quite a few of our players have been victims of cheap and dangerous shoves. fellaini on gibbs and onuha on giroud spring to mind. some brainless cunts in this league
Not to mention both Sagna's leg breaks.
Arsenal should be able to take arnautovic to court for debuchys wage, might put off some of this shit bird behaviour.
If pushing a player deliberately into the hoardings after the ball is out of play isn't a form of assault, I don't know what is.
How the commentators can think it's a nothing challenge and there is no intent is beyond me.
I don't think Arnautovic's push was that bad. I see players do that all the time. It merited a yellow card, but they were clashing shoulder to shoulder anyway. He didn't expect Debuchy to dislocate something.
Shame about Debuchy. He's a good player and he has a good attitude. On the other hand, I hope this means Bellerin gets to play a lot more.
is it confirmed that its 3 months? i know they though it might be if he needed surgery, but i hadnt seen confirmation of that.. (?)
3 months for a shoulder dislocation is a bit much.
Yes but this is for an Arsenal player don't forget IG.

this type of logic doesn't really work though. when a drunk driver gets behind the wheel, he isn't thinking about the guy he might potentially kill with his reckless act, hes thinking about getting home.
its the same for the terrible tackles we see week in and week out. you can say "he didn't intend to hurt him" but when you go flying in studs up, anything can happen if you are off by a fraction of an inch.
if debuchy lands differently, nothing happens. he landed in the worst position possible and now hes out 3 months.
the worst part of all of this is that the referee saw it and didnt deem there was anything wrong, so there can be no further discipline.

IIRC they do take a lot of time. Quick to fix but hard to recover from.

Arnautovic isn't a drunk driver. That's a terrible analogy.
I have no love for dirty tackles either, but freak accidents do occur. I see our players shove people like that all the time. It's a yellow card offense if the referee catches it, mostly because it's unsportsmanlike. A studs up tackle by comparison is always a red card because there's the obvious risk that you cripple someone.
