The main worry for me is that several of the players who had a full pre-season have gone down early with muscle injuries. Gibbs, Monreal, Arteta, Ramsey, Sanogo - they are the ones who had the longest vacations and full pre-seasons.

Nothing surprises about that. Wenger loves a facade and the quicker we move on from this great player developer, but managerial relic, the better.

Playing on injections should be a massive no-no for any player. Feeling the need to rush back, and overplaying recovering players is why we have seen Theo and Wilshere suffer numerous setbacks on their returns to fitness.

Everyone plays on injections at some point. That's just how it is. He was playing on shots when he scored that goal against Chelsea in the FA up final too. I don't see him complaining about that.

Freddie gets away with that article because of what he's done for Arsenal, and because he's made amends since then, but his last two years at the club were like something straight out of Diaby's nightmares. Wenger didn't just wake up one day and decided to sell him after a poor performance.

Indeed, Ljungberg used to get some serious flake in those days for being well past his best. I think he managed 3 goals from the summer of 2005 till 2008.

We held on to him for too long, if anything.

They are saying Koscielny is being sent home as a precaution. I'd be inclined to rest him until our next CL or even Sunderland and try to get on top of this problem he is having. Ridiculous situation we are in here.

Wenger has said today Ramsey & Arteta should be back by the end of next week. Walcott & Gnabry are back in full training now as well. Has confirmed Ozil is out for a minimum of 2 months but are waiting for our own medical people to give their view on his scan results.

That's good news. Finally. For some reason I thought Ramsey was going to be out until December.

Then again, Pires did his knee like a week after signing for Villarreal and was out for over a year, and he didn't exactly set the world alight when he made his comeback. Also, we didn't sell him. He left on a free.

Our injuries always last longer than the initially set time frame. No one on twitter knows anything important.

Eh, he might not have that injury if he stayed. But you have a point on the free transfer, we couldn't have stopped him. He left on very unhappy terms after the UCL. That final game costed us both Pires and Reyes.
