I thought Rosicky was shocking. For a playmaker he just doesn't get involved enough. He moves from here to there without purpose, a few good touches and turns but ineffective overall. Worse gave away the ball a few times including the one time in the middle third which led to the break for the second goal. I am surprised anyone thinks he was good, must be only aesthetically. We blame our defense a lot and sometimes they are all over the place but they are mostly caught by stupidity of the players playing ahead of them.
Moreover what his being ineffectual and downright poor does is, we have just no one in the front four who can link up well with each other and make play. That leaves Jack who although was in and out of the game looked really good at times and Ramsey to do far too much, thus exposing the back four. So many times Ramsey and Wilshere carried the ball through midfield with Rosicky just a bystander. If he is the playmaker, it has to goes through him much more than it does.
Podolski for me is an ideal wing forward, don't understand why he refrained from shooting today. He peels off from his marker brilliantly, his movement from the left is good and he links up well with the full back.
Point is though with Giroud and Podolski and/ or Walcott in the front line the team can't have an anonymous player behind them. Only if we could get Cesc back.
Koscielny is a man-god. It's true.
Jenkinson can't be a starter, should be loaned may be.
Ramsey is going to have a brilliant season, i can feel it.
This was a team that finished second in Serie A last season and they didn't create anything, nothing.
We were mostly good, we need to bolster that front line though or get Cesc back as i don't think there is a world class playmaker about.
