On a different note, Higuain was pretty average today. It is still pre-season and they've just started with their preparations, but, a 35 million player should really show some spark in a 45 minute period.

I never wanted him in the beginning because, last season, he had been average every time I'd seen Madrid and I felt that his lack of urgency and pace and power (or inclination to use it) would hinder him from succeeding here. But, I gradually warmed up to the idea of having him here when we were all set to sign him.

Does anyone feel that he is a bullet dodged?

He's a good player if you create chances for him. He's not going to do much other than put the ball into the net. Definitely not a 35million player, even in today's market.

He's a good player if you create chances for him. He's not going to do much other than put the ball into the net. Definitely not a 35million player, even in today's market.

You can not create chances for someone who doesn't have the physical traits and/or movement to get to the end of the chances. He does have the movement, I'll give you that - but, you still need to jump higher or run faster that the defender to maximize your chances.

Mind you, the best striker in the league - Van Persie isn't a beast physically, but, his movement and technique are enough to help him succeed. But, the question is if Higuain has the skills to do the same.
