Willock has immediately stood out as one of our best performers this pre-season. His decision making coupled with strong technical ability means that he is rarely caught in possession, always makes progressive passes and also has the physical capacity to move up and down the pitch. Think Elneny when he first signed.
The key for Willock will be to develop beyond this base level talent and take it up a notch. Perhaps, adding killer assists or decisive tackling to his game, with which he can then put forth a case of being a real option for the first team.
He has a strong base to work with, but he will need to add more to his game if he is to make it. Kinda like Nelson you could say.
