Amaechi has some great qualities, I'm not putting him down with the Townsend comparison as such. As Tone says; he's a good player, and Amaechi would probably take Townsend's career path if offered it now.
I am, however, using the comparison to show that Amaechi lacks a little refinement in his game, and is perhaps a little one-dimensional. Townsend is the player he's reminded me of since the first time I saw him, it was trying to work out whether he had that extra bit of quality about him that meant he could make it at Arsenal in a big way that I was trying to spot, and I haven't quite seen it.
