Apart from his thighs, what are your thoughts on Smith-Rowe's prospects Ricky?
Love his game. No weak areas: Fast, athletic, can run all day, great touch and close control, excellent ball striking technique, hits a mean dead ball, can carry the ball well, is two-footed, good eye for a pass, clever in quick combinations, works hard, good attitude.
The only thing that came to light when he got in the first team last season was that his passing let him down a bit, gave it away a bit too much for my liking, and lacked accuracy when he tried anything over a longer distance. More than anything it was probably the speed of the play that caught him out because he is fine at youth level, but we'll see when he gets more chances this season.
Slightly concerned by the number of muscle injuries he's picked up in the past 12 months. Hopefully just growing pains. He's a great talent.
