And I think Declan Rice is going to have a bigger career than Foden.

I can't see him coming through at City. It's all well and good giving him time here and there, but if he shows enough promise there comes a point the club needs to take a gamble and make him part of the plans. I doubt whether City have the patience to indulge youth like that in the first team in such a central position.
Same Tam. I expect him to go to West Ham or Everton or such eventually, but I think he'll leave it too late because he wants to make it at City. Being a 23 year old looking for a breakthrough at a midsized club is much less remarkable than being a 17 year old with talent at a top club.

TBH, i think he is overrated. Guardiola praised Foden to try and quell the hoopla when Sancho abandoned City and the English press have gone overboard. That is not to say he is not quality and he has the potential to develop into a very good player but he is still a long way off.
Reiss Nelson: “I want to go back to Arsenal & play. I’m more mature now. Hoffenheim made me grow as a person. I’m Arsenal through & through. All my family support Arsenal. That’s an interaction I have with the fans. It’s good. They support the young talent coming up through"
I want this kid to make it here. Hope to see him in all the Europa League and Cup games at least.
Opening for Foden? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48767169
So Nelson. I have concerns he’ll not be powerful enough to succeed in the Premiership but here’s hoping he puts that concern to bed. He’s a clever player compared to say Son for example
Agree. He's got it all to prove, though. His job at Arsenal is tougher than what his peers are tasked with, I hope he's up for it.
I think, in the end, it'll mostly be down to character.
My worry is the same as Dula's as his influence in big games seems minimal. Is it possible that playing him in older age groups is stunting some of his development as he isn't given the responsibility? As a recent example, i'm happy that he took the penalty for England against Croatia but, for the majority of the game, he hardly got the ball. He was constantly ignored when calling for the ball and ended up too peripheral for my liking.
Has to be given a shot this season.
He’s a powerful boy
I'd give him elneny and mustafis minutes. Not much to lose there
i hope we scout our young players in tournaments the same way we would if we had interest in buying them.

But can he defend? Fuck is all this?
I only watched the Italy game where he played in midfield and, yes, he did defend very effectively in front of a back 5.
Is he cumbersome and Xhaka-esque when being turned by quicker, skilful players?
In the game i watched, he was the opposite of Xhaka-esque. He scored the only goal with a nimble volley and broke up Italy's almost constant pressure more than anyone. He also had the strength and skill to protect the ball after he had won it often carrying it great lengths up the pitch or passing to teammates on the right and left. That said, he was playing against u21 players so it's not as impressive as it sounds.
Edit: highlights
Maybe I just wasn't paying attention to them, but I tuned into the Italy shortly after the goal and I genuinely can't remember one Polish player that stood out. They were all one homogeneous blob to me, playing in a few meters of space right in front of their own box. Their strikers were where you'd normally keep your centrebacks. I've rarely seen any team being kept so short.
To be honest you are right as all the other players seemed to all be in defence. I noticed Bielik as he was the sole reason i watched the match.
Eddie Nketiah: “My aim is to play for Arsenal, that is my goal and has been my aim since I was a kid. “It is great to have two of the best strikers in the world around you and learn from them every day. I’m just progressing, trying to catch them and make the gap smaller and smaller.” “I think it is really important, over the years it is what Arsenal have prided themselves on, having great youngsters coming through the academy”“ I think the fans would love to see a lot of the young boys in the team week in, week out so come the start of the season, we will all be pushing to get in the team regularly.”
