Beautiful composure by Nelson. I like the look of him, I just hope he can translate his abilities as effectively and consistently at top level.

And Saka, my word what emphatic finishes those were from him. I like how he keeps his discipline and correct distance from his marker while he patiently waits for the ball to come his direction before he makes his run.

Nelson needs to be reintegrated next season, the likes of Saka and Amaechi need to see first hand they’ve got a path to the first team.

I think it's critical we play him. If we do, I don't mind that much if we don't get a top winger. Let's be gutsy and show faith in our new-look youth project. It will be exciting.

Completely agree unless we have a bargain on our lap that we can’t turn down. But I want us to go all in with your youth prospects and given how many wingers we have coming through, it doesn’t make a huge amount of sense to target that area for investment.

I mentioned in another thread, but we really should just use all our budget on the defence and maybe a midfielder.

Those options for the three behind the striker excites me, Smith Rowe’s turn to get a season of football under his belt out on loan.

Next season we should really be looking to challenge for the title and we can't do that with Saka and Nelson as our wing options when our rivals have Mane and Salah, Sane and Sterling, Son, Martial etc. Would defo integrate them but would also make sure we bring in at least one quality seasoned winger.

They are not even on Hudson-Odoi's level and he is struggling to get game time for Chelsea.

Every year fans will fantasize having our youth prospects as legit options for us prematurely, never works out.

Chelsea had no time for De Buyne, Salah or Lukaku either. City had no time for Sancho.

We already have 3 youth team products starting for us regularly, it’s not some fantasy. The likes of United and Barca got a decade of success out of their academies. You either give these guys a shot at the first team or you don’t. There’s no in between option where you sign some average wingers who take up 95% of possible game time. Folks love to moan about losing Gnabry but I’m willing to bet they didn’t advocate any game time for him while he was here.
