It's strange how this "zero sum" thing happens - I tend to think it's just a natural addition to a shaky argument.
Not much between Gibbs and Nacho, both have their followers, and that makes for a zero sum atmosphere; which then leads to loving eyes on one hand and excessively critical eyes on the other.
But the thread is good, and interesting: these are two players we all follow for a long time, and had time to assess, yet opinions are clearly divided. More bizarrely, it's not even the bottom line that is contested (that would be natural with each preferring other types, some think "a faster Sgana" is actually ... an insult?) - it is the specific traits: tactically suspect - both "camps" put on "the other guy", etc.
Looks to me like it would be interesting to put this to a clear analysis: each aspect of the game (speed, power, tackle, urgency, positional sense-tactical game, etc.), then more general assessment as a defender, going forward and general play, then bottom line.
If what I saw is right, we'll see many contrasting views even on very specific points. "Gibbs is faster" may be the only angle not debated.
