Auxiliary cover:

Bendtner, Ryo, Gnabry, Frimpong, Sagna (CB), Flamini (FB).

A top striker and a centre half signed in addition to Ozil would have seen us compete for the title I think.

Striker is a big weakness, and the flanks due to injuries.

Squad is a few players light, but I actually like and/or value every single one of the players we have.

Bendtner doesn't count.

Looks as if Wilshere has until Arteta is back to improve his defensive game. That doesn't happen - he will ride the pine quite a lot I reckon.

Agree with that. Aside from Bendtner who is not really in the squad, there isn't really anyone you absolutely hate like there usually has been with recent squads.

On here we seem to think the former, but most pundits seem to be imagining the latter.

I think most pundits only saw Ozil in europe or the classico under Mourinho and that is the basis of that assumption.

I would be surprised if Ozil doesn't play 10 for Wenger.

That was my first thought, but I suppose that was because we're used to seeing Cazorla displaced to the wing. Both players have scoring potential so that's not a huge factor.

We won't have to rely on Rosicky behind the striker anymore! Just felt that needed to be out there.

Have been impressed by Rosicky so far.

He is an elegant footballer with quick passing, good at driving forward with the ball at his feet and all that. He still offers too little in goals and assists for me to be comfortable playing him behind the striker. Especially if that striker is Giroud, who by no means is s world beater.
