He moved it quickly enough. There's this myth that Ramsey is slow on the ball and it's just not true. Go back and have a look at who played Cazorla into position when Giroud missed open goal, for instance. He's much better at finding angles than Diaby is.

It's no myth. He is slow on the ball. He looked slightly better than his usual performances, but brought nothing into the game that made a difference when he was introduced.

Agreed, just think those 2 are in direct competition for minutes (even if they are not starting games)
Ramsey definitely takes too much time on the ball.

When sahin, chambo and wilshere are fit, neither diaby or Ramsey will see much game time

Usually agree with you Klaus, but it's pretty obvious that Ramsey doesn't release the ball quickly.

ramsey's biggest problem is he plays too many stupid flicks and he doesn't have the judgment to pick his spots or the technique to do it accurately. there's a tradeoff between keeping possession and taking risks to create chances, and ramsey is definitely way too far towards the latter. all he does lately is lose the ball. if he simplified his game and just played the passes that are on, while arriving late in the box to score goals, he'd be a good player.

Ramsey has had a great opportunity to prove himself over the last year and has failed to earn a starting place. Make of that what you will.

Ramsey is ok, doesn't deserve to start but still deserves plenty of chances.

He's a good squad option to have and still think he'll eventually become an important player. Was put under too much pressure to perform and replace Cesc last season, and when he started to struggle he carried on playing anyway because we had no other options until Rosicky remembered he was a footballer. Wenger has handled him poorly up until now.

Interesting watching Ramsey in that compilation from the Sunderland game. It was a decent cameo, but he has so many unnecessary touches of the ball. I think his brain works quite quickly, but he just wants to constantly feel the ball at his feet, which is almost certainly a confidence issue imo.

Ramsey is the most dispossessed player last year. Its no myth that he is slow on the ball. Breaks up our play so much it hurt us last season before Rosicky replaced him.

Agree with Tim: Ramsey has good ideas in his head, for instance when he came on he took a quick turn and got a shot on target. Later on he tried a similar turn, nearly playing someone through. If he can make things happen quicker, he'll be an asset.

Definitely. He has the brain, but this desire to take those touches leads him to hold onto the ball too long and get dispossessed. Was it at home v Chelsea last year where he was just a complete prat and got done thrice in the opening half hour? Probably is a confidence issue.

Also, music in that video makes my ears bleed.
