I always liked that Arshavin goal because of the celebration. Some nice camraderie between him and our physio who had been helping him out.

Man I remember that Reyes goal so vividly. I was at my grandparents' house, watching in the afternoon.

I even remember the "Sting Reyes" headline in The Mirror newspaper the next day. Absolute lifetime ago.

Ozil’s was the best or most difficult from a technical point of view.

For sheer imp factor, Arshavin.

I like the Rosicky thunderbolt, but cleanness of strike goes to either Xhaka or Reyes. Leaning towards Reyes cos Xhaka!

Rosicky one is just ridiculously clean, the ball hardly moved. Carbon copy of his goal in the world cup 2006.

Wiltord was a strange case. He never quite nailed down a starting role, didn't score a tonne of goals, and I remember at the time thinking he was a slightly "weak link".

But when I watch old games now, his general play was excellent. Fast, adept dribbler and he had a fantastic strike on him. I actually think he was really good as a right winger.

Would be a top player for us and many teams now.

About as basic as Aubameyang is. He'd be as good as him for us today imo

I get where you are coming from with this, but it's a bit harsh. Wiltord had 92 caps for France, smack dab in the greatest ever generation of French players. I would say he was a great role player for us in the sense he was industrious, good off the ball and had a knack for scoring in big games.

Yep, Wiltord was a sign of the status we enjoyed among French players more than anything else. He had just scored the deciding goal in the Euros and was the hottest player property in Europe after winning the golden boot in Ligue 1. Everyone wanted him after that league season and that tournament. Wenger got in touch and immediately got it done, cool as you like. The equivalent nowadays would have been to go and sign Mbappe after the World Cup.

He was a nippier version of Lacazette. Almost half of his goals came in league cup games and against the dregs of the league.

Yes, good squad player and option off the bench. But as a starter, no way.

Comparisons to Aubameyang and Mbappe are off the mark.
