Yeah, Walcott wasn't given ideal balls to work with last night, but it wasn't his attacking runs that caught my eye when watching it the second time around. Well, some of them, but it was mainly his defensive efforts. He won the ball back brilliantly a number of times where I fear we would've been fucked if Eboue had tried the same thing. There was this steal in particular where Villa (I think it was him) got the ball, turned around and was about to advance against our goal with the closest defender ten yards away when Walcott came running back and dispossessed him.
