If we want to win a trophy of merit this season, we had to get serious weeks ago. Create a solid plan, identify targets and see it through. Don't wait til the season has started before spending. We've got some tough games to start off with.

If Higuain was our target, then spend the 32 million quid. If he's not worth it at that price he was never worth it.

If yes, why the hysteria about the lack of signings? If no, then I understand the worry.

Yes it can make a good start but has potential to falter. I didn't think we'd be so bad the last two seasons either. Why leave that scenario to chance? We can annhialate it and make a top start with top players.

We also need signings if we are going to win anything this season.

Get creativity in midfield and some skill on the wings. Strengthening other areas could mean around 20 goals more on top of an attack which finished 4th.

Well the squads at this current moment mean zip seeing as the PL isn't kicking off until Saturday week and Bale has a buttock injury.
There was a time pre season last year when we had RVP and Song along with Santi and the other summer signings.

On a personal level I am well chuffed we aren't signing Suarez, and I am thankful the Liverpool owner responded forcefully so fast after Suarez' latest act of terro-cunterism.

I also have to say that I find it difficult not to admire Henry's stance! He is turning down a terrific offer for sporting reasons. Had the shoe been on the other foot we all know Suarez would be on his way to his new club a long time ago.

That's what I find fustrating and disturbing about our management. They love receiving the money but will never spend it wisely and strongly enough to bolster our team.

What has been classless on our part is acting on information that can only have come from either Suarez or his agent, neither of whom we were allowed to talk to. If we wanted that to less blatant we could have at least made the bid less obvious.

The only way this works out for Liverpool is if Suarez keeps his mouth shut and scores even more than he did last season.
Not going to happen. The rest is all sound and fury that signifies nothing more than Liverpool's desire to appear big.
That means more to them than actually being big and considering the footballing reasons for keeping him.
You keep saying that he's despicable ( I agree) but yet you seem to think that he's miraculously going to simmer down and behave himself now that he's been effectively held against his will?
