If they keep him (which I think they will) at least they have some backbone and principle. People are calling it stupidity but we'll see at the end of the 13/14 season how true that judgement is.

When Cesc and Nasri left, we got the whole, 'we can't be a big club and sell cesc and Nasri'.

That proves bullshit runs through many clubs.

Whatever happens, seeing the way Liverpool act from owner to manager to players to fans makes me really appreciate Arsenal and how the club generally conducts itself by refusing to get drawn into these type of public attempts at bravado.

Even the Suarez-Evra incident was mostly made into a PR disaster by LFC rather than the player. I honestly don't think any other club in the premier league, even the scum, would handle a situation like that in such an embarassing manner with T-shirts, endless public statements...etc. And Rodgers quite honestly is a joke, and fitting successor to Dalglish.

We tested the clause and Liverpool's resolve with our bid - it's clear enough that Liverpool are going to continue to act big (I stress the act part) but in reality they are going to be left with a big problem if they force Suarez to stay.
Good, they deserve it.

As for our summer, I'll wait until the transfer window is actually closed to assess.

What pisses me off is that they think they're on our level PL wise. What Carragher and Owen among others have said really is stupid. We've finished above them consistently for years bar the odd season here or there.

The fact that they rejected our bids twice is fair enough though. I don't understand what people are angry about in regards to this transfer saga.

How do you work that out?
Do you think that our current starting eleven (unbeaten in PL since the Spurs game) are liable to have as poor a start as we've had for the last two seasons?
