I certainly dislike Terry even more than Suarez (somewhat unfairly as he is not a repeat offender) and Giggs' reputation is shot as far as i am aware.

To a degree yes. Giggs is still seen primarily as a great pro/United legend etc. What he did is about as bad as it gets imo. Terry is the biggest scumbag in the league for me but i bet if you did a poll Suarez would win by a landslide.

Is there any reason that someone like Dzeko wouldn't be able to score 20+ league goals for us (as it is assumed Suarez will do)?

I'm REALLY not getting the obsession with Suarez, if that wasn't already obvious.

In real life I remind everyone I ever meet who happens to mention Giggs as a legend that he slept with his brother's wife for seven years. I'm a riot at parties.

Giggs is a despicable human being and that should never be forgotten.

None. Hell, put Michu in this team and he'd grab 20 league goals easily next season in addition to opening up a lot more combinations. I think Biggus actually believes that hypocrisy is pragmatic and therefore should be employed as much as possible. If not, he has a couple of definitions to pore over.

To me Terry and Suarez are the biggest scumbags in football and of the 2 Suarez is the bigger scum. I don't really care about Giggs because that's his personal life, I'm sure he has enough family members hating him.

It's very confusing. Why are we going in for him so hard? Maybe we have some other motive, some other target. That's all I can really think of.

For me the focus on Suarez is based on a perceived lack of alternatives. I confess to be ignorant these days of who is or isn't available I just assumed Suarez was the only real alternative. If there was a 20 goal a season guy available, it's a no brainer....Suarez then isn't worth the hassle or the money.

He would never pass to Theo and they would hardly play together in any case as their relative styles are incompatible. Theo strikes me as one hell of a pussy who will do anything to avoid confrontation that's why i cannot see anything happening between them even in training.

Hey i won't argue with you lagos, they're all wankers at the end of the day!

I can see why people have reservations about this and i won't moan if we do go for a Dzeko or Michu but i do think Suarez would be great here and it would be a huge statement of intent. Suarez is one of the best players in the league and signing someone like that is a huge coup.

dzeko and michu are similar to and only slightly better than giroud. an absolute waste of money (20-30 mill probably).

Even Giroud could score 20+ goals in a well functioning Arsenal team.

Don't u think we need that extra bit of magic in the final 3rd? Most of our forwards are very 1 dimensional.

Dzeko is far easier to deal with than someone like Suarez; just cut off his supply and don't give him much space. Suarez on the otherhand is a nightmare to handle, he's one of the best players in tight spaces and playing in confined spaces is probably the most difficult thing to do in football.

I'd rather sign Vucinic than someone like Dzeko given the forwards at our dispoval. He(Vucinic) has got that magic that top class footballers have, it's no surprise he regularly scores big goals, he is just not consistent enough over the course of a season.
